Winter dreams in the Ortler region!

Snow covered mountain slopes under a splendid blue sky and surrounded by tremendous mountains; welcome to the Ortler region!

The skiing areas in Sulden( 1900-3250 ) are only 7 km away from Gomagoi and offer enjoyment to suit all tastes. You can reach Trafoi , a neatly arranged village, home of the famous skiing legend Gustav Thöni, in about 10 minutes. In Trafoi mostly families will come into their own; easy lifts, no waiting times at the lifts and no stress at all.

Skiing:
In total there are 40 km of ski runs available. The runs in Sulden at ‘Kanzel’ and at ‘Langenstein’ are mainly suitable for the advanced skier. On the runs of the ‘Seillbahn’ only real snow and ideal snow conditions are waiting for both the beginner as the deep snow freak. The beginners will also come into their own for their first skiing attempts on the nursery slopes in the village of Sulden. 

Snowboarding:
In the immediate vicinity of the Madritschhut there is a half pipe and a fun park for all freestyler. There are also enough great slopes for the free riders to enjoy themselves. A very special delight is the breathtaking deep snow downhill from the Schöntaufspitze ( 3200m ) to the village of Sulden ( 1900m ).

Ski touring:
Escape from the bustle of the ski runs, see the mountains in a different light; more and more people discover the fascination of ski touring. The ascend of the Suldenspitze ( 3376m ) with tour skis is hard and difficult, but the panoramic view on the top makes it all worth the while; Königsspitze, Zebru und Ortler in the East, Cevedale in the South East, Weißkugel in the North and the mountain range of the Brenta in the South. .  

Cross-country skiing:
The cross-country trail of Sulden is one of the highest in Europe. 1900 m are an ideal altitude for training in height. The full length of the run ( skating and classic langlauf ) is 7 km. The perfectly prepared run in the unique scenery of the Ortler mountain range offers the ultimate langlauf experience from November to April.

Ski lifts in Sulden

One cable lift, six chair lifts and three ski lifts will take the skier from 1900m to 3250m in only a few minutes. The waiting times are practically reduced to zero. Detailed information on the ski lifts in Sulden can be found on the [Panoramamap].
